The Process
Our testing process adheres to federal and IACP (International Association for Chiefs of Police) guidelines.
The entire vetting process is done remotely, so there are no added costs. The testing and interview will take place at your location via Zoom. The process is outlined in the following steps:
1. Referral. (Complete the Contact Us form, Email or Call Us)
2. You will be asked to provide information about the candidate you obtained from your interview process.
3. An appointment will be made for testing and the clinical interview.
4. You will need to provide a private room for testing and interviewing and a computer.
5. Someone from your organization will need to be a designated contact for assessment links to be sent to. At the proper time, the candidate will take the assessments while being observed by our staff, remotely.
6. Once the testing is complete, it will be scored and reviewed by our staff along with ancillary information the department/ organization has provided.
7. An interview will then be scheduled. At times, this may be the same day, depending on scheduling. Other times, a separate appointment will be scheduled a day or two after testing.
8. A report will be generated with recommendations.
The Power of Personality, and Psychological Testing
At Professional Assessment and Selection Services (PASS), we leverage the power of personality and psychological testing. Contact us to learn more about our process and tests.
Psychopathology Screening
Understanding one's mental health is pivotal, and at Professional Assessment and Selection Services, we prioritize early identification and support through our psychopathology screening process. Utilizing refined questionnaires and assessments, we meticulously evaluate symptoms linked to mental health disorders such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, and more. Our approach to screening for psychopathology is a vital step toward timely intervention, ensuring individuals facing mental health challenges receive the necessary treatment and backing.
Personality
Personality testing is a valuable tool for gaining insights into an individual's unique traits, behaviors, and preferences. These assessments are designed to measure various aspects of personality, such as introversion/extroversion, openness, conscientiousness, agreeableness, and emotional stability. Through a series of standardized questions or tasks, personality tests provide valuable information that can aid in self-discovery, career planning, team building, and personal development.
Capacity for Resilience
Resilience assessments gauge an individual's capacity to bounce back from adversity and thrive in the face of challenges. These evaluations explore psychological strengths, coping mechanisms, and support networks that contribute to resilience. Through various measures, such as questionnaires or interviews, resilience assessments provide insights into an individual's ability to adapt, recover, and grow in the face of stress, trauma, or adversity.
*Our research has empirically defined what the core effective mechanisms are that create resilience, and by such can predict their capacity to overcome the negative life experiences that are so common in law enforcement.*
